WAT-AAH!, one of the fastest-growing bottled water brands geared to kids and teens, encourages everyone to drink more water through street art. Taking Back the Streets, was an initiative launched in Feburary in New York City at The New Museum with special guest Michelle Obama. Since then, “Taking Back The Streets” has traveled to Washington, D.C., Chicago, and will now be returning to New York City in October. To date, there are 34 preeminent artists involved such as: Pose, Kenny Scharf, Shepard Fairey, Haze, Swoon, Hebru Brantley, and Icy & Sot among others. In addition to creating an original piece for the campaign, the artists have translated their work onto a label. These bottles have become a BIG HIT for the campaign. So much so, WAT-AAH! will be releasing a select number of bottles to market later this fall called “WAT-AAH! Streets.”These bottles will be available for purchase nationwide in select stores and online through wat-aahstreets.com. This limited edition series features label designs by the following artists: Kenny Scharf, Eric Haze, Lady Aiko, Metro Zu’s Posh Dog, Technodrome 1, Tony Concep, VESA and Smurfo. This announcement is accompanied by a 30-second video spot which was inspired by Kenny Scharf’s 2,500 sq. ft. WAT-AAH! Wall mural in NYC. The Drink Up drop from this mural has been animated and leaves the wall traveling through downtown NYC and ultimately lands back on his limited edition bottle. Check the 30-second spot, as well as the bottles out below.
