Honolulu-based designer Megan Matsuoka is a self-confessed design addict! To help satisfy her cravings she created a self-initiated project where she would produce 100 Posters in 100 Days using inspirational quotes as her content. It began from a need to feed her creativity and practice her design skills. As she puts it, “I was also inspired by a scenario in the book Art & Fear in which a ceramics teacher divided his class in half. One half of the class would create one perfect piece while the other would produce as many as possible. Quality vs. Quantity. The class that produced as many as possible ended up with with the more quality piece as they did not have time to theorize about perfection. I wanted to emulate this scenario as I am a self proclaimed perfectionist, so the only limitation I set for myself was a one-hour time limit to ensure I wouldn’t over-think or over-design.” Check out a few of her posters below and see the rest here. They’re a type lovers dream!
