Awesome digital impressionist painter Lewis Terry is back with his latest project, an impressionist digitally painted graphic novel entitled Royal. The comic was premiered this past weekend at London’s Super Comic Con to rave reviews. Lewis explained the backstory to us: ” During the age of about 11 to 17 I constantly drew, with no study or skill, making up my own stories all set in one universe. My sister and best pal contributed and that world grew and grew. For seven years it remained untouched and in stasis as I got on with life and knuckled down with my career and study.
“Now that I actually have learnt how to produce good artwork and have put all my sweat and tears into it, I feel like I owe the child in me to dedicate some time to myself.
“Welcome to Royal. A city built on lies, corruption, war and famine. Pola calls this shattered country home.
“When Pola’s close friend Janet fails to return home from a routine trip to the shops, he knows something is not right. Taking off on a search for her, Pola soon finds himself in a plot much darker than even a killer like himself could imagine.Heading down a pathway into hell, he will get Janet back, no matter the cost.”
Sounds awesome doesn’t it? We think Caleb Carr
