When I need to learn something new in After Effects, I go where most everyone else goes, to the guys at Video Copilot. Andrew Kramer and his team are masters of visual effects, and A couple of months ago, they used their talents to create an awesome app. Demon Cam uses awesome facial recognition algorithms to turn yourself and your friends in to some bad-ass evil-demon-monster-creatures right on your iPhone.
Just released today, Painting with Time is an iPad App that lets you, well paint with time (kind of). Red Hill Studios, the creators of the app, have provided 14 different sets of images for the user to manipulate. Simply by choosing options on the screen you can jump back and forth between different periods of time in the same shot (different seasons, ages, etc.) and then use your finger to brush that stroke across the screen.
