Crash Island are a four-piece dark tropical indie rock band from Stoke Newington, London. Formed in 2011, their sound combines punk ethos with 80’s nostalgic synths, reggae rhythms and melodic vocal lines.

Band members hail from Spain, France and South Africa. They’ve played UK, France, Germany and Switzerland. Including festivals, clubs, rooftops, lakes, parks, bus stops and even picked a fight with Fatboy Slim!

Their debut studio EP ‘Strange Shores’, mixed by Gordon Raphael (Producer of The Strokes‘ first 3 albums) in Seattle and Buenos Aires is out now available on their website, which also advertises their upcoming gigs.

I really enjoyed their EP. It’s perfect for both solitary listening and listening within a group. I found that I was listening to four completely different tracks, which I enjoyed greatly. It showcased the great range of talent that Crash Island has. Give it a listen after the jump!
