This is a perfect example of great ways to harvest our skills to make a wonderful life for ourselves! In February of 2013, we wrote about the launch of Bohemian Guitars, which are guitars made from oil cans. Now, in 2015, the folks at Boho are back with the launch of their 2.0 series of Boho ukuleles, bass, and guitars. To help fund the endeavor, Boho launched an Indiegogo campaign. As a testament to how great these oil can instruments are, the campaign has completely blown passed the target goal and as of today has been funded at over a 420% clip. Who says you have to make a string instrument our of traditional materials? These Bohos have such a unique sound! You can hear the mix of instruments in the…

Even If, by The Ceiling Demons

Even If, by The Ceiling Demons

Last March we wrote about English alternative hip-hop group Ceiling Demons' debut LP Duel Sides. They're back with their new single "Even If." Producer Psy, from Ceiling Demons, expressed his thoughts behind the new single:   Even If follows a trend I've been on recently with production, mainly in its sparsity and ambience. In our previous releases, there are lots of cases where you can hear that I'm trying to cram as many things in as possible. Our other producer, Euan Kearney, would then throw mad layered drums over it. Recently, I've been trying to strip…

I feel like I am a train, picking up the things I like on the way, and releasing them in my own manner. That’s all. I assume everybody does?   For me, it´s a way of living. My creative side is never separated from my life. It’s there all the time. I can get inspired by just about anything that comes my way (apart from the typical creative areas such as dance, theater, music, literature etc.). But of course, the opposite is also true, so one has got to make sure when to move out of the way! I also feel that…

Check out the illustration, branding, and typography work of Jose V. Rodriguez. He's an artist who's hand-skills have a purposely jagged quality to them. When you delve into his work and see that he's taken with the macabre, mythology, and the occult, you realize that he's got a strong handle on his own artistic tastes. You can see more of his work here. (more…)
